to all the sites I've built before...

Yes, here it is, the er, 'perfect collection' of sites I've designed. Unfortunately, they are not all still in use. Eventually I have to give up webmasterdom of a particular site, and when new people take over my pages they will make their own designs. But because I enjoy being comprehensive, here's pretty much everything I've coded (minus the really bland page I had to make in my 'learn to make a homepage' class in college. I think it mentioned fish.)

.:professional sites:.

  • Rochelle Ellis, Lyric Soprano. My mother wanted a website to promote her career as a classical soloist. Actually, in the meantime she's become a realtor, and bought a site she can upkeep herself, so I don't have so many updates to post.
  • EvAP: Evaluation, Assessment & Policy Connections. This is a center at the School of Education at UNC Chapel Hill, where I worked for about seven months during and after my senior year of college. I was excited to check up on the site and find that what I designed was still there. I was given a bunch of boring old pages and the words "the coordinator of the program likes purple." So, that's what they got. (What I had orignally designed was archived here, but it seems one of the images I had linked to has disappeared, and the orignal files are on my other computer, sadly on the other side of the world.)
  • The Curriculum Materials Center, aka the library at the School of Education. Any similarities to the main pages of my personal site are purely imagined, ahem. (My original: here, also suffering from Lost Image Syndrome.)
  • Learning Disabilities Licensure Program. Originally this page didn't have any images at all -- I figured, it was a page about learning disabilities, why not go for total accessibility -- but my boss wanted something to spice it up. So I added the title image, and we went live with that. This page still exists on the SOE site, but it's been redesigned.
  • Culture, Curriculum, & Change. This was a sample design I drew up for one of the graduate programs at the School of Ed. Unfortunately, before I had a chance to talk with the program and my boss about it, I was... er... downsized. (Forgive me, like my other archives, this page now only exists on Geocities.)

The academic programs at the School of Ed have all been redesigned to look the same, so the pages I coded are long gone. Other than the pages above, I only coded them instead of designing them, so I don't weep over the loss (other than the manhours spent making what was to be only a temporary site... *sigh*)

.:private & personal sites:.

  • the Dialectic and Philantropic Societies. I designed the website for Di-Phi, the debate societies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Since then they've revamped the site to look... um, anyway. This was my introduction to Photoshop and stylesheets. (Sorry for the odd link; I've lost my copy of the page files and in fact forgot I made this site...)
  • Otaku Kaku. This was my first (and only, actually) fansite, based on the Japanese cartoon Sailor Moon. We hosted a (somewhat) successful multiauthor story, and then became a general fanfiction archive. It's rather embarrassing how dead this page is, however I was always partial to the brightness and the colors of the layout (as reflected into my page, and the CMC).

...Gosh, all the other personal/club sites I made have disappeared. Sadness. I guess there's just this one, though there are a fair amount of different designs here since I can't commit:

  • Main site. I'm supposed to be changing this design, but I really am fond of it.
  • The art page was a possible aim to the next generation of the site. It's blue. I think I'm going to do something about the thumbnails though, or the popups (which are cool, but something about that page takes too long to load.)
  • the Kyoto page. I was going for a Japanese feel, with borders like shoji screens. ...It makes sense to me, anyway.
  • the LGS page. Yes, even though it's just a page for one of my unfinished fics, and even though I'm still uncertain about the yellow and purple together for long periods of reading, I liked the effect with the tables.

...And that's it! Someday I'll find the graphic I want for the 'Driving' fic page and finish that... and then the redesign of the main site... ...someday...
